We are seeking a visionary and experienced Head of RAN to lead the development and evolution of our Radio Access Network (RAN) solutions for the Ericsson Private 5G product. In this critical leadership role, you will be responsible for defining the RAN strategy, driving innovation, and ensuring the delivery of high-performance, reliable, and scalable RAN solutions that meet the demanding requirements of enterprise customers. You will lead a team of talented RAN engineers and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver cutting-edge 5G RAN capabilities.

 

 

What will you do

•    Develop and execute the RAN strategy for the Ericsson Private 5G product, aligning with overall product and business objectives.

•    Lead and mentor a team of RAN engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.

•    Drive the design, development, and optimization of RAN features and functionalities, ensuring high performance and reliability.

•    Collaborate with product team to define and make enhancements based on market trends, customer requirements, and technical feasibility.

•    Drive innovation in RAN technologies, exploring new architectures, algorithms, and techniques to enhance performance and efficiency.

•    Drive continuous improvement in RAN development processes and methodologies.

•    Act as a technical expert and thought leader in RAN technologies, representing Ericsson at industry events and conferences.

•    Collaborate with customer support and field teams to resolve RAN-related issues and ensure customer satisfaction.

 

The skills you bring

•    Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

•    15+ years of experience in software development, with a proven track record of leadership and innovation.

•    Proven ability to lead and manage high-performing engineering teams in a fast-paced and agile environment.

•    Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

•    Strong customer focus and a well-honed sense of empathy for regional and cultural considerations towards building a globally distributed team.

•    Strong background in developing complex software for Cloud and on-prem solutions.

•    Deep understanding of 5G NR and LTE RAN technologies, architectures, and protocols is a plus.
