About this opportunity:

The RCE CX Network Solutions team in Kista is looking for motivated engineers that want to be part of a collaborative, diverse, and high-performance team dealing with new mobile technology areas. Besides working with the local team, you will interact and collaborate with colleagues around the world.

As a network end-to-end verification engineer you will experience first-hand the establishment and configuration of comprehensive 5G networks spanning RAN, transport and core network domains and including both real devices and applications. Realistic and customer-like network deployments are essential to validate how well Ericsson’s portfolio is able to support advanced use cases and satisfy the needs of our mobile operator as well as enterprise and governmental customers.

Our unit is a front-runner in new areas, such as Mission Critical Networks (Defense, Public Safety, Railways, Digital Airspace, Utilities), Time Critical Communication, Fixed Wireless Access, and Dedicated Networks.

What you will do:

  • Integrate, configure, troubleshoot, and operate 5G RAN networks (purpose built and Cloud RAN) supporting advanced use cases
  • Execute solution verification scope
  • Help create prototypes and demos for demonstrating advanced use cases
  • Execute PoC, co-creation and technical demos in Ericsson and Customer environment
  • Grow your competences in the technical domain and share your knowledge with others

 

The skills you bring:

  • An academic degree in Telecommunications or IT
  • EU citizenship is a must to support with sensitive Mission Critical use cases (e.g., Defense)
  • Work experience (5+ years) in similar roles
  • Diverse set of technology know-how in (some of) following areas:
    • 5G RAN knowledge and experience operating Ericsson RAN products
    • Solid IP and networking practical knowledge
    • Cloud and Core Network knowledge is a plus since work can expand
  • Good communication skills and be fluent in written and spoken English (Swedish is a plus)
  • Motivation and ability to coordinate, interact and collaborate with diverse and remote teams
  • Be able to travel to execute external PoC, Demo or co-creations
  • Being self-driven and having a solution-oriented attitude are key for success
