We are seeking a visionary and experienced Head of RAN Software Development to lead the development and evolution of our Radio Access Network (RAN) solutions for the Ericsson Private 5G product. In this critical R&D leadership role, you will be responsible for defining the RAN software strategy, driving innovation, and ensuring the delivery of high-performance, reliable, and scalable RAN solutions that meet the demanding requirements of enterprise customers. You will lead a team of talented RAN software engineers and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver cutting-edge 5G RAN capabilities.

 

What will you do

•    Develop and execute the RAN software strategy for the Ericsson Private 5G product, aligning with overall product and business objectives.

•    Lead and mentor a team of RAN software engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.

•    Drive the design, development, and optimization of RAN software features and functionalities, ensuring high performance and reliability.

•    Define and manage the RAN software roadmap, prioritizing features and enhancements based on market trends, customer requirements, and technical feasibility.

•    Drive continuous improvement in software development processes and methodologies.

•    Act as a technical expert and thought leader in RAN technologies, representing Ericsson at industry events and conferences.

•    Collaborate with customer support, field teams and Business Area to resolve RAN-related issues and ensure customer satisfaction.

  

The skills you bring

•    Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

•    15+ years of experience in software development, with a proven track record of leadership and innovation.

•    Proven ability to lead and manage high-performing engineering teams in a fast-paced and agile environment.

•    Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

•    Strong customer focus and a well-honed sense of empathy for regional and cultural considerations towards building a globally distributed team.

•    Strong background in developing complex software for Cloud and on-prem solutions.

•    Understanding of 5G NR and LTE RAN technologies, architectures, and protocols is a plus.
