Business Area Cloud Software & Services (BCSS) is created to capitalize on the opportunity of the convergence of cloud and services. As our customers deploy 5G and programable networks, our aim is to accelerate the optimization and automation of increasingly complex networks, by redefining to cloud and AI native software and services. 

 

Solution Area Business & Operations Support Systems (SA BOS) is built to provide a leading portfolio with an outstanding customer experience by aligning architecture, products, services, roadmaps, and commercial structure.

 

SA BOS Technology Evolution is built to develop and maintain the product and solution direction architecture, secure alignment with respect to main standardization bodies and

 

drive the overall Technology Strategy and Technology Leadership within the Solution Area BOS portfolio.

 

We are looking for a person that really likes to work with other people in technology and architecture with the aim to guide our evolution in the best possible direction for medium- and long-term business success. As the cross-portfolio technology and architecture responsible unit in solution area BSS and OSS, we are scouting new technologies, and business needs to understand the best value and adoption in our product and services portfolio. 

 

You will join our architecture authority unit within the Technology Evolution team in BCSS SA BOS(OSS/BSS) consisting of approximately 40 persons in two units. We are strategically co-located with our key centers (head quarter, R&D and Services) in Kista, Karlskrona, Athlone, Budapest, São Paulo, Toronto, Ottawa, Chennai and Gurgaon.

 

 

What you will do:

To guide and direct our product/solution and services portfolio to a competitive technology and architecture evolution.

 

•    understanding technology trends and standards and connect them with the evolution/requirements of our products and solutions 

•    Understand our products and domains and their business

•    Work to distinguishing the Ericsson portfolio from the competitors

 

Develop and anchor the BOS portfolio product and services portfolio evolution from a technology and architecture perspective

 

•    Drive and/or participate in technology and architecture studies

•    Drive or participate in proof of concepts

•    Understand and contribute to relevant global standards (TMF, 3GPP, CAMARA, GSMA)

•    Support cross Solution Area standardization and integration initiatives and global programs impacting SA BOS.

•    Cooperation and collaboration with Architecture and Strategy teams within and outside SA BOS

•    Collaborate with Portfolio to prioritize the road map in regard to technology and architecture 

 

The skills you bring:

•    BSc in Engineering/Computer Science or similar, MBA as plus.

•    Technology and business savvy (technology and trends are shifting rapidly and you need to enjoy taking on new areas and connect to value)

•    Extensive R&D experience, (process and LCM to design once, sell many?)

•    Strong technical domain knowledge in NW Service Orchestration and Assurance, and/or radio network management, and/or core NW management, and/or business support (core Commerce, Charging and Billing)

 

Other Qualifications:

•    Proven leader for technical teams and customer engagements

•    Positive attitude 

•    drives change through continuous improvements

•    Proven ability to communicate and influence (skilled in creating, documenting, and presenting technology and value argumentation)

•    Human skills and safety to understand and respectfully have persons from all hierarchies in your personal network

•    An established personal NW within R&D of one or several of the requested technical domains in Ericsson

•    An established personal NW within product management and/or sales of one or several of the requested technical domains in Ericsson

•    An established personal NW in customer units/regions for one or several of the requested technical domains in Ericsson

•    A combined experience of SW development, Architecture, product management and leadership

•    Hands-on experience from competition

 

Location: Sweden (Kista, Karlskrona), Athlone, Budapest, São Paulo, Toronto, Ottawa, Chennai and Gurgaon.
