In the Product Integration Environment Release Automation department, we have several stakeholders from system management, development team, engineering environment, solution testing and customer units. It gives us unique overview of the product development flow.

 

You would work in a product test program for a Packet Core Cloud Native products to provide technical leadership and strategic direction for non-functional test and test environment. You would guide and follow up on non-functional development, automation and processes. Test Architects concentrates on the “HOW” in SW testing. You would define requirements for the automation framework, requirements for efficient and effective test lab, provide assignments to system test and guard the test architecture. And you would participate in the prioritization and implementation.

 

The job offers a variety with few recurrent tasks. Either you work on new strategic initiatives, or you fix emergencies.  You need to enjoy working hands on with new challenges and be an excellent trouble shooter.

 

You will ensure “test aspects” are considered throughout the development life cycle. Synchronize so that test evolution matches product maturity and evolution. Continuously initiate activities so that test may be more efficient and effective

 

What you will do

•    You would drive and participate in development of test architecture e.g. prototyping work in the test [lab] environment. You would participate in or lead competence group and Test technical forum.

•    You would collaborate with Release program, development teams and Infrastructure / tools teams with regards to test tools, test processes, test environment and test methods. You would in close collaboration with the Technical Test Coordinator to optimize test flow, suggest and drive test improvements and give input to the test Strategy.

•    You would collect, optimize, and visualize the lab need and usage with close collaboration with Engineering Environment team and the other Test Architects. Spread mindset and awareness regarding the efficient and effective usage of out test channels.

 

What you will bring

•    Problem solving: You need to enjoy and excel at trouble shooting. You generate innovations and come up with concept of how to make our testing more effective. You create scripts in Python to facilitate work if needed.

•    Test Knowledge: Knowledge about SW Quality Assurance, test frameworks, CI/CD tools and technology stacks. Knowledge about the 4G/5G Packet Core products and Could Native. 

•    Understanding HW architecture, switches, and route protocol would be an advantage. It is good to have hands on experience with RH OpenShift.

•    Strategic technical Leadership: You are comfortable in taking technical decisions and able to create business cases for investments. A strategic mindset, an ability to align technical decisions with business goals, identifying opportunities for innovation and differentiation in a highly competitive industry. You stake out the path forwards.

•    Communication skills: As you work with many different stakeholders you need to be able to adapt you communication to hold deep technical training sessions, summarize a business case to program managers or giving a technical overview of Ericsson’s QA process to a customer. 

•    Degree: BSc/MSc degree in Computer Science, Engineering Physics, Mathematics, Telecommunication or the equivalent level of knowledge.
