About this opportunity:

We are now looking for a highly experienced researcher to join our team at Standards & Technology at the Business Area Networks Technology & Strategy unit. We work to ensure technology leadership in Radio Access Networks (RAN) and lead Ericsson’s RAN technology strategy. We do so by actively driving standardization, concepts  & algorithms, testbeds and research on antennas, radio, RAN compute and software. 

 

For this specific opportunity the main task will be to drive technology leadership through research and design of new radio network solutions for industry verticals, with particular focus on Mission Critical Networks (MCN).  

 

What you will do:

 

  • Define, drive, and contribute to technical studies to design concepts for MCN.
  • Engage with business drivers and product owners to ensure the right features for the MCN market. 
  • Work with technical experts across different units of Ericsson to ensure well working end-to-end solutions.
  • Impact technology strategies to ensure consideration of MCN requirements.
  • Act as an evangelizer by contributing with expertise, communicating results, and collaborating with different Ericsson units and external partners.

 

 

The skills you bring:

 

The skills and experiences we are looking for include: 

 

  • A PhD or MSc degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, or similar.
  • Extensive knowledge of mobile networks and substantial experience in the mobile communications industry.
  • Experience and proven track record in the MCN area is a strong benefit.
  • Experience and proven track record in MCN adjacent areas, e.g., connectivity for industry verticals or network positioning, is a benefit. 
  • Excellent impact and leadership skills and ability to mobilize, collaborate and engage with the organization to secure results.
  • Strategic understanding, reasoning, and influence. 
  • Excellent teamwork skills for a fun and challenging environment where you can grow and inspire your colleagues to further growth.
