About this opportunity:

We are looking for a Test Env Design and Integration Lead to join us in the CCI test environment team. You will work closely with the EST teams, who provide test environment build, support, and troubleshoot for CCI development teams. You will also be the expert to support test environment design, integration, life cycle management, perform incident recovery and act as the technical lead in complex build and troubleshooting. As a leading role in the test environment team, you will drive and implement optimization of test environment design with future proof test capacity and stability to enhance developer experience. The role will bridge the gap between strategy, test requirement, test design, and test environment implementation.

 

In this role, you should have excellent problem-solving skills, and hands-on experience of E2E test and troubleshooting, including deep understanding of test component, tools, environment as well as test strategy and framework of RAN products. You will also participant in CCI strategic implementation including STP pooling to address the challenges to balance the test environment cost, utilization and availability.

 

What you will do:

-    Actively participate in high prior CCI test environment build, support and maintenance activities, such as requirement validation, test environment design, feature verification support, and lead technical task force for troubleshooting.

-    Drive strategic initiatives including test environment optimization, and STP pooling for CCI test areas.

-    Knowledge gathering for EST teams and TEE for new products and solutions

-    Support Test Managers in development of test strategy where applicable i.e., Test Scope, Test Configurations, New Test Tools

-    Contribute to test analysis in early development phases in various fora, to secure relevant and timely testing.

-    Play a role in creating comprehensive test and environment documentation

-    Build Test environment as per user requirement enabling testing of features & scenarios 

-    Configure and integrate nodes/HW and solutions into networks (new and existing) 

-    Operate nodes/HW with different configurations present in test environment and optimize as necessary 

-    Lead and Analyze end to end troubleshooting for the issues related to nodes/HW present in test environment 

-    Provide required solutions on nodes/HW activities and change management 

-    Create cost effective solutions through activities in network design and deployment 

-    Provide support and guidance to users and supporting organizations for operations of network elements 

-    Coordinate deliveries with supporting organizations to best support users enabling operational excellence 

 

The skills you bring:

-    Deep understanding of Ericsson RAN solutions, including new features and products, including G4, G5 baseband and Radio platforms. Understanding of CCI module testing requirement including RCS, RTI, CAT or serviceability testing.

-    Deep Knowledge of 3GPP protocols, and L1, L2 and L3 signalling of telecom requirement, good understating of ENI design.

-    E2E RAN traffic testing skills, including hands-on knowledge of RAN configuration, UE control and log reading, RF troubleshooting.

-    Skills with test tools, including Viavi, FsUE, LTE Sim and UCTool, C2RS, QXDM, Moshell, ICA, TGF, Ixia, Vector Spectrum Analyzer, Signal Generator and so on.

-    Knowledge of single server gNodeB deployment and its surrounding components. Experience in implementation and testing with RHOSP and CNIS. 

-    Deep understanding of test environment design, including test component, auxiliary materials like SFPs and cables, combiners.

-    Knowledge of routing and switching.

-    Experiences in functional verification and feature testing of RAN products.

-    Experience in STP Pooling solution.

-    Experience in lab operation and have deep understanding of infrastructure limitation including lab infra, automation framework in different labs covering KI10, KI20, LN, GIC LI & RO. Experience in requesting and driving service uplift to align with test strategy.

-    Experience in SAN service framework, including E2C integration, Linux and Windows machine implementation.

-    Proactive, Quick Learning of new knowledge, and ability to drive complicated troubleshooting cases.

-    Knowledge Sharing and Collaboration Skills.
